The ships show marks and scratches, while the surface of the circuits successfully gives the feeling of being a mixture of concrete and metal. The textures of the circuits and ships have been redone, the polygonal load has increased significantly, and there is a greater level of detail. The face wash is effective enough to make up those origins. It will include a new soundtrack and not the old one, due to licensing issues. WipEout Omega Collection will be published in summer 2017 in physical and downloadable format. In total it has 26 circuits, 46 ships and 9 game modes.
WipEout Pure and Pulse were the basis on which WipEout HD was built, of which Omega is a remake that also adds remastered content from WipEout 2048.
So good, in fact, that it’s easy to forget that it had its roots in a decade-long PSP game. Pulse and Pure demonstrated the benefits of the PSP, and 2048 made the most of the Vita. Since the first WipEout was published in 1995, embodying that PlayStation philosophy better than anyone to attract a more modern and adult audience, the saga has been intimately linked to Sony hardware, being almost synonymous with it. A PlayStation is not a PlayStation if it does not have its corresponding portion of WipEout. But in these three years of life he gave the feeling that something was missing. The studio responsible for the series since its inception, Sony’s Studio Liverpool, no longer exists, and the PlayStation 4 has been around long enough to look like a veteran console.
